2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: full name, email address, city, country. Passwords are hashed with BCrypt and never stored in plain text.
  • Content you create: buying requests, offers (bids), chat messages, uploaded images.
  • Technical data: IP addresses and request metadata in server logs (retained for 30 days).
  • Analytics: with your consent, Google Analytics collects anonymized usage statistics (pages visited, session duration). No data is collected without consent.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): account creation, analytics cookies.
  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): providing marketplace services, displaying your requests and offers, enabling messaging.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): security logging, fraud prevention.

4. Data Recipients

Your public profile (name, city, country) is visible to other users. Email is never shared publicly. We do not sell personal data.

With your consent, anonymized analytics data is processed by Google LLC (USA) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data: until you request deletion.
  • Server logs (IP addresses): 30 days.
  • Uploaded images: until the associated request is deleted.
  • Chat messages: until account deletion.

6. Your Rights (GDPR Art. 15-22)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP), Bulgaria: www.cpdp.bg

7. Cookies

Essential cookies: authentication session cookie (required for login). Language preference cookie.

Analytics cookies: Google Analytics (only with your explicit consent via the cookie banner). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored on servers in the EU. Google Analytics data may be transferred to the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

10. Children

WTB.land is not intended for users under 16 years of age.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users.
